Despite Progress, True Public Transit Accessibility Remains Elusive

In the 28 years since passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act, the landmark civil rights law that bars disability discrimination, U.S. transit agencies have made significant progress in improving accessibility on bus and rail systems.

2019 Random Drug Testing Rate Increase: How will it effect your transit budget?

As mandated by its drug and alcohol regulation, FTA will increase the minimum rate of random drug testing from 25 percent to 50 percent of covered employees for employers subject to FTA’s drug and alcohol regulation, effective January 1, 2019.
